A buddy of mine just bought and a 2000 A6 2.8Q. He want me to reprogram his locks & doors so when he locks it all the windows go up...have any of u done this to yours and is t´he coding the same input?

Go to audiworld. Theres a writeup on how to recode the control module to do all sorts of stuff.

 

I just did the VAG COM recode for this, but my windows will not rollup unless I continue to hold the lock botton down for at least 5-10 seconds....... does that sound right to anyone?

I would have thought it would have rolled up the windows upon remotely locking the doors.....

 

hold the window button till they go all the way down then do it all the way up this resets the memory and you need to do it to every window and sunroof, to make the windows close with the remote keep the lock button pressed till they shut

 

Once you have properly recoded the control module for the remote window operation,you must press and HOLD the button on the remote for several seconds before the windows start moving, and you must HOLD the button until you want the windows to stop.Once you release the button on the remote, the windows will stop moving.

 

Thanks guys, I found the answer later that night....... it is normal to have to hold down the lock button for the windows to roll up.....
