18x9 Rim finding a tire HELP!!!
I dont want an insane stretch look. I am on stock suspension. Will a 245/40 fit? Whats the largest I can go? I was thinking 235's is that going to be too stretched? Offset of rim is +40

just an FYI 9 inches is about 230mm. The width of a tire is measured from shoulder to shoulder (the tread + 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch down the sidewall) and can vary from brand to brand.
That being said, the minimum recommended on a 9 in wheel is 225's and maximum is 275's (these #'s are from multiple tire companies).
I am not a fan of the stretched look, and I am sure someone will respond you can fit 155's or something insane. But I am just giving you safe #'s approved by tire companies.

245 it is. Im not a stretched fan either. Its cool but the Audi is a ride comfort car for the family, unlike my 580hp G35 coupe sitting in Volk 19x10's at the rear. But even then only a SLIGHT stretch. Thats why my numbers started at 235 haha. But I am looking at 3 different sets of tires Nitto Neo Gens, Hankook Evo V21's and Federal 595's. Any Advive out of those 3 tires? The Federals come in at about 300 less. I had them on another cat and liked them.

P.S. Here are the wheels I purchased. In case anyone cares. Custom drilled from blanks to fit our 5x112 bolt pattern. 18x9 wheels. Got them for 400. TPMS for 100, Bolts for 60 I feel thats a good deal. Just looking for the right tires. I work in a auto shop and I will be doing the mounting myself.
