Question Can I run 18x8 on my MKI Audi TT Quattro?

I previously bought an 2000 audi TT quattro (180) as a gift to myself for graduation from highschool. I was wondering if 18x8 (5x100) rims would fit on my car? This one website told me that it is too wide?!?

These are the rims I am looking at...

Feel free to post any pictures of rims you have on your cars as well as the sizing!

The issue is not that the width is too big. The problem lies in the offset of 45mm which will essentially seat the wheel too far inside the well and rub the internal suspension parts.

I don't know if you have used Tire Rack before but we have a strong selection of 18'' wheels for your TT. Check it out here and let me know if I can help.

I've seen a few a few of the ASA and Moda wheels on a TT of your year and they look awesome IMO.

Also, not 100% sure about the lug spacing. I believe Audi rolls on 5x112, but I cud be rong about the TT, as I don't generally drive pocket-sized cars. Maybe Miles has a quick way to check, but I do not, while I'm at work.

Tirerack is correct, and a source I use myself for many things, great guys there. The stock rims are 7.5x17 with 32mm offset, or 7x16 31mm, and I see a listing showing 8x18 with 33mm offset. 5/100 bolt pattern. With that info, I would wonder if you have clearance to the caliper as well as suspension as TR said. AWDaholic is right, 5x112 is what Audi rolls on but for almost everything BUT a TT.

Yeah, it's 5x100. That's really interesting about the caliper spacing. I bet that has something to do with the wheel size as well.

Thanks for the info guys!
