Audi TT trunk size?
Hi, I am thinking about buying a 2003 or 2005 TT soon! Would anybody happen to know or be able to measure the width of the trunk, I plan on installing a subwoofer and want to check the dimensions before hand.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: misspelled Audi, my bad.

I had a pretty mean Car Audio/Video setup in MY TT with subwoofers...
Click Here and look at the bottom of the thread, I posted some of the pictures there.
trust me... if I put 2 12w7 subs in mine in a ported box... with 3 huge amps... Im sure you can fit whatever you want in there. The 12w7's were too much sub for that car... so yea. Good luck
I had more than $9,000 in audio/Video in that particular setup.

Do you plan on removing your backseat?
The backseat in the TT is not bigenough for anyone to really sit in it. The front dge of the rear bench seat TOUCHES the back of the front seats.
Here are the dimensions.
If you plan to leave the Back Seat in the car... the Trunk itself is 37"w x 30"L
The space remaining after you remove the backseat is 39"w x 17"L
Here are some pictures of MY TT with my setup
First, here's a brief description of my Audio/Video setup:
Head Unit: Alpine IVA D-310 7" Flip Out DVD
Sound Processor: Alpine PXA-H401
Front Speakers: Focal Utopia 3-Way Components
Rear Mid-Bass: CDT Eurosport ES-06+ Compact Subs
Subwoofers: JL Audio W-7 12" x2
Subwoofer Amp: Phoenix Gold Xenon 1400.1 Variable Impedance Amp (Power is the same no matter how many ohms you run it at) (12w7's are run @ 1.5ohms)
Front Speaker Amp: Zapco Reference Fiber Optic 350.2 (Run @ 4ohms)
Rear Speaker Amp: Zapco Reference Fiber Optic 350.2 (Run @ 4ohms)
Sound Deadened with eDead v3 (Ceiling & Under carpet) & eDead 80 (Doors & Trunk lining)
Here's a photo of the rear seat area BEFORE building the enclosure *** Please excuse the stains on the carpet. My Korean Ex-Girlfriend dumped a frickin coke in her seat!**

Thanks for the info. That will workout, I will probably get 2 400w 12's in a 34 inch case and cover the gap with a little bit of wood and carpet. I can't spend 9000 dollars on it unfortunately, nice setup though.
I don't plan on taking out the rear seats.
