need help jumping off the line
so my 2000 a4 quattro hesitates when i jump off the line, as in when i let go off the clutch it kinda chokes and THEN catches on but by that time a 10 speed bicycle could have past me up, does anyone know what that may be due to, is there something i would have to change/modify?? its my first all wheel drive car so idk if that makes a difference. I had a mazda 6, honda civic, and bmw z3 and i never had this problem ...IM DESPERATE
also my air mass sensor needs to be replaced but im not sure if that has anything to do with it

My 2001 A4 1.8TQM is not childsplay to launch either but it can be done. Mine is still stock until after winter but has no issues related to engine performance or the drivetrain.
I get the revs up around 4500rpm and hold it there. None of that fast and furious revving crap. Then let the clutch out smooth and quick. Just before the clutch is up mat the throttle. That seems to work for me.
The problems against you are the extra inertia of the awd system combined with turbo lag which is further compounded by a weak clutch. Feather the clutch to much and you will burn it up. Not enough and you will bog.
Clean your MAF sensor and see if that works. If not then replace it. Until then dont waste your time trying to go fast with faults directly related to engine performance.

Dear all, if anyone want to buy an Audi on leasing then I have a great dealer for you which is DSR Leasing. 2-3 days ago, I checked their website and I’m really very impressed from their offers. They were offering the best deals on each car. https://dsrleasing.com/car-listings/?make=audi
