I have a 1987 5000 turbo quatro motor and i want to put it in a 1988 90 quatro. Will this be a big project to do or a small like just swapping out motors. Or will i have to chop it up to fit the turbo in. Or take the turbo parts out of the motor and then swap it in.

 

comeon man .... u have both items in question present ..... grab a ruler .... search on google ... how noob can you be .... no it's not a bolt on project

 

WOW! Hey now that's great to learn. Where did you get that from a manul. Where is a good place to start. Has anybody put it in an artical. I'm very new at this so i didn't think it would be easy. Any help would be great?

 

the motor would be a straight up swap but youl need to make room for the turbo ... intercooler and some other stuff .... can be done ... also you can save a bunch of space by diching the CIS fuel sys .... there are some "writeups" , "articles" , "project conspects" on the web .... i'll look for some links that i had ... but searc on google man and youll find a bunch of stuff ... not all related to the swap , but helpful stuff any way
