Power steering noise issue, help needed!
Every time I turn the steering wheel I am getting this squealing noise. It took me couple hours to find what it is.
It is coming from the spring/shocker area. Because the whole shocker/spring is turning, I think the rubber underneath the spring cup is making squealing noise on turning.
I used WD40 to lubricate the area under the spring cap which helped a bit, but problem still persist.
I am wondering what is under the spring cap, maybe bearing, must be something to allow turning on in it.
I know resembling this thing is a quite big job, therefore I would like to hear from people who had similar problem.
It would be good to see some pictures of spring, sucker, spring cap the whole thing if possible.
Also if I need to resemble shocker/spring what tool I would need.
Any thoughts, suggestion are welcome.

don't use WD40. just take some regular fluid from your powerstering reservour, and use it to oil. just dip your finger. Look out for peranas.
mine squics too. usually in the morning then it stops.

Forget it! Once the suspension starts to squeak that means you have serious wear, time to replace the strut bearings and rubber bushings. Do everything at the same time, much easier and cheaper. Might as well put on some new Struts as they rarely last more than 10 years. Replace the rubber dust boot, suspension bushings, etc.
