So my 2.7t 2005 93,000 miles .the trans just spins under 12 MPH then engages...big clunk..

Audi newport beach CA wants $9300 to fix.. any ideas out there ?


any body want it ? Any mechanics that might buy it ? SHOULD I PUSH OFF A CLIFF. ?

sadly the best thing to do is trade it in for another car or put it on craigslist for as much as you can get for it. dont pay 9k its not worth it just get something else.

 

Maybe a Audi mech. Would love it .?

I wouldn't go to Audi to fix it. Get a quote from an independent shop and get the tranny from a yard. Should get your price down considerably.

 

My reputable mech called around and found a used 80k mi trans for $1,500. Total to replace was about $3,150.

 

Take it a transmission shop they will charge around 1500$ + labor
