Default Audi EGT Sensor

Hi guys,

I would desperately need some help on this one.

I'm getting EGT Sensor Fault Code. It says sensor 1.

The car has very little power and I think this might be the reason why.

I have checked the car for boost leak and there is no boost leak at all.

I heard that this sensor is very difficult to replace and I don't really know which one is the Sensor 1. I have UK car so my driver side would be different to most of the driver sides.

Could someone please tell me which one is Sensor 1, and if someone can tell me how to replace one I would be very very grate full.

I have also attached the fault code screen shoot for your convenience.

Alem

Bank 1 is the passenger side, which is easy to swap out. You need a 17mm wrench though. You can follow this write up to help Egt write up
But pretty much, you have to take the intake and y-pipe off and the EGT is reachable then. Its also a good bet that is one is throwing codes, the other is soon to follow. The driver side is a bigger pain in the ***. I happen to have both of mine for sale at the moment too. I just pulled them off my car last weekend, still in working order, only about a month old (I got them tuned out) If you want em both or just one, PM me

Hi, can you send me on the parts number. When you say passenger side do you mean UK or US passenger side?

I meant US, but it should convert to still meaning passenger side in UK

Hi, It looks like I've fixed the issue. I went to check the part numbers and while doing that I've made sure all the conncetions are in place.

The error code is now gone and the car is driving perfect.

I think it was a loose connection somwhere along the way.
