Downpipe and cat-back exhaust interest?

cant we just use these:

At least just the down pipe portion (assuming a manual transmission) and we can easily and cheaply fabricate with off the shelf stuff to get the couplers to mate. Its the downpipe/precat that is the problem and these downpipes sure look nice.
