Ride Height Setting

"swag"? Do you mean how much should your suspension drop by? NOTHING. It should never go down. In the past four years of owning, I've never, ever seen my car drop. Until two weeks ago. And it went downhil fast. The only thing you should experience is adjustments at lights and the sound of venting when you walk away from the car.

Just a comment about the ride height issue. I bought my '01 AR a few months ago with virtually no research first. I just saw it at a dealership, thought it was cool and bought it. Two weeks into ownership I drove it 4 hours to another state and on the 4 hour return trip it developed a front end vibration that was pretty frightening ( by now I had learned enough to be scared of repair costs). With a little experimentation I discovered that the vibration went away when I raised the ride height from 1 to 2. I left it there for the rest of the trip and a couple days later got it up on a lift. We discovered the pass side inner CV boot was badly torn and all the grease had escaped. The tech told me that the lowest setting put more pressure on the joint and caused the harmonic vibration I felt and that setting 2 was a more neutral load on the drive assembly. I still drive in the lowest setting most of the time but like to move it around when the opportunity arrises (pun intended) usually the drive through so I'm not looking up at the kid on the frosty machine.
Good news, I found the CV axle on www.partsgeek.com for $130 and a local mechanic installed it for $150. Compared to the dealer quote of $295 for the part and $500 to install it.

"Normal" setting = 2 Will drop to 1 if going 80+ mph for more than 1 minute. It will also adjust when you are stopped on hills (At least mine seems too)...if facing uphill, the back end lifts up to even you out a bit. However i also have the dreaded 'leaky bag' issue. I have replaced them at least 3 times...whenever it gets cold 1 or 2 of the wheels will drop a level..then I get the light it is uneven...pain in the A$#... SO in the cold I leave at 3, wash to keep them clean..but even so it'll drop from time to time...In Northern NJ, so cold, but not REALLY cold...

tobais, have you replaced yours with the arnott units? I just installed those in the front. So far, they seem to work well. I noticed that there wat a lot of sand under the old bladder, which I'd think could contribute to cuts. Mine seemed to have a small cut.
I am a little suspicious about the height, though. The car seems a little high for level 2. It might be my imagination. I haven't researched how to audit the height adjustments. The way those height sensors hang when the suspension's dropped, it wouldn't surprise me if something could get out of adjustment.
