Default Story of the Leaking rear washer (solved) 2004 Allroad.

The source of my windshield washer fluid leak finally came to light. Initially, after taking out fender liner, I looked at tank, grommets, and lines but no drips, or wet areas. The front washers worked, but rear did not spray. Washer pump worked though. Activating rear washer finally revealed a leak under the car under the driver's foot well. It did not show up right away though. I discovered a very wet carpet in rear passenger foot well. I removed the rear seat cushion, the trim holding down the carpet edges, and the plastic cover for left driver foot rest. The carpet was damp in the driver's foot well too. Carefully moved around the wiring looms and saw the ribbed textured washer line that comes in through a rubber grommet in wheel well. That grommet shared two other lines. The connection point of the outer to inner line had come apart. How? Well something had pulled them apart. Maybe me when changing struts and control arms? There was some slack in the line coming from the tank. I gently removed the slack by pushing line farther through the grommet. The connection snapped together like new and was very secure. Hard to understand how it separated, but it did. So now drying time and then securing line well to avoid future problems. Hope this might help others.

Belated welcome, and thanks for sharing from a from a happy fellow-2004 owner. No leaks here, but always ready to learn tactics and methods from an experienced owner --just in case.
