Default 2.0T Mods or Repairs that Decreased Oil Consumption

Have any of you experienced a DECREASE in oil consumption as a result of a mod?

Upgrades that might have that potential:
- Latest version of PCV valve (front or rear)
- Aftermarket PCV valve
- New Intake Flap Motor (remote possibility)

Any others?

From what I've heard, the definite cause for 2006 models oil consumption is the PCV valve. Unfortunately, unless it's malfunctioning, dealers will not replace it, even if asked. I was going to have a new one installed, but my new car is supposedly going to be here in August, so now I'm not going to bother.
