4k rev limiter in Neutral
Have any of you guys noticed that the car (2.0T DSG) it's limited at 4K rpm when in neutral? why is that? any ideas?
I'm going to but an APR ECU on my car, any place you reccomend in the Bay Area that con do it? i have google Stryker in Palo Alto. Does the Carbonio intake make a big difference? what about the exhaust?
cheers

***disclaimer*** I am not responsible for your possibly blown up transmission if you try this sarcastic idea...

RE: 4k rev limiter in Neutral
If you have it in S mode, turn off traction control, and depress the brake fully. Now when you floor the gas pedal, the revs are limited to about 3000rpms. The car can take off pretty fast when the brake is released. It will take a little learning of feathering the gas pedal though.
Check out this video of the DSG launches with the VW GTI. I didn't think we had the same type of launch control, but I did try it and it works. What it does to your trans is a different story. I haven't done it more than 3 times and don't plan on doing it much more for fear of abuse.
