Default A3 2005 halogen replacement with xenons

HI everybody,

First i apologize for my poor english ... i'm French, nobody's perfect

I how a 2005 A3 Sportback equiped with halogen lights. I bought OEM a3 xenon light on ebay.

All wiring from my car are the same for halogen lights and for xenon lights so the fitting was easy. It works very well in manual mode, xenon are very powerfull.

I've already a problem after i fitted it . I wonder if you have had this problem and if you've reached to fix it.

1- I've a malfunction warning message on the dashbooard, it says that front right light is'nt working... but it works !!! This message could disappear hours during and come again.
2- As i set the light's switch button on AUTO xenon-lights are glittering and some times does work. If i switch to driving lamps xenon lights glitters and do not start again.

In manual mode it seems to be OK.

An Audi dealer told me i should buy another item to avoid this problem (8P0 907 357 C)This piece is located under the dashboard.

Did you put the xenon lights on you A3 ? Do you have encounter any problem like mine ?

Many thanks for your answer if you can help me.

Best regards

Lionel

the part your audi daler told you (8P0 907 357 C) is only the management for the automatic function of the ligts (go up and down with ne niveau of your car)... if you want to put it in your car yo also have to adapt the sensors on to your car. than you need wires between this and so on....

i would only change the healdlights and let it be alriht.... ;-)
