Hi,

I was driving today when my A3 started to chug a bit. At a complete stop the car would sort of wobble (like that feeling when you stopped on a bridge and you can feel the bridge move but stronger). The engine light was on and so I pulled over. I turned the car off and started it again. Same thing. I was close to a dealer and so I started off there and after a few meters, the car turned itself on with engine light still on. Wouldn't start any more after than.

I could smell that burnt electronics smell coming from the engine and it was coming from near/around the alternators area.

Anyone experience this before or know if its a common problem? The A3 is new to me and had it <2 days off the used car lot. Car has 19920 km on it.
