I had my 2010 A3 in for service and now none of the gear selector lights are illuminating in the center console next to shifter? The dealership fixed a bad defrost motor/flap and replaced the rear main engine seal while it was in, so not sure if wiring was compromised at some point or if an update was done in the software and that triggered something? The engine light was illuminated before the service, so it was definitely plugged in at some point…
Any ideas?

Did you return to the service department? First thing to do and see if they need to "complete" the job.
Have no suggestion on the cause but something not fully plugged back in seems a possibility.
