A3 head problem on all?
Are all A3 TDI's the same?
What i mean is....do they ALL have a problem with the cylinder head?
Every forum ive read states there is a problem with coolant loss as the heads are prone to cracks/splits/head gasket failure.
Im going to buy one in jan/feb 09 and dont fancy paying money out then finding out 2 days later its lost all the coolant !
Im interested in the sportback 140bhp TDI and im thinking of getting 54/55 plate.
I dont know how true this is but i read somewhere after 56 plate onwards the cylinderhead problem has been fixed.
Thing is im buying privatley so unlike a garage i cant really take it back one ive bought it.

I have bought an A3 TDi sport in november last year and have coolant problems. As in it seems to be disappearing and the warning light coming on but with no sign of any leaks.
Is there a head problem and could anyone help with this matter,
