Hey, I've been looking at A3's recently. Is there any chance of the 2 door or the s3 coming to the USA anytime soon? How do you guys like driving the DSG, and how does it compare to BMW's SMG? Do you find the manual to be like a tiptronic or is it better? Also, which engine has more potential for power, the 2.0 or the 3.2?

I work for audi, the 2.0 definitely has more potential for power. apr makes a chip for 500$ that gives you about 40whp right off the bat. the s3 and 2 door will not be around until at least 2008 if that. the DSG is pretty revolutionary, it is nothing like tiptronic. The only way to know is to try it though... i did like the SMG from BMW but the DSG shifts quicker smoother and cleaner.

 

When you say 2008, do you mean 2008 model year (beginning mid 2007) or 2008 Calendar year?
As well, I'm really interested in the A3 Cabriolet... Any idea of when that's coming to North America???

Well, maybe I may grow older waiting, but it doesn't have to be dull - I'll just have to drive my Z4 a few years more.
