My 2006 a3 is throwing code p0299. I have had a new improved (without diaphram) DV installed at around 85000. I'm sitting at 147569 miles and my instincts tell me my waste gate valve is shot. Worst case, does anyone know where I could get info or advice on replacing the turbo? I have found a few posts and videos on 1.8t passats and A4s but no one has anything on replacing the turbo on the A3. Do you work on it from above, below with a lift or does the engine have to be removed (hope not)?
