Adding VF CAI to Revo/Milltek setup A3 3.2 DSG

RE: Adding VF CAI to Revo/Milltek setup A3 3.2 DSG
Looks like I'll be doing away with Revo. I can't get decent power without absolutely destroying my fuel economy, and now, from what I read here, my settings are way off the mark. On top of that, my tuner doesn't want to mess with it anymore (rightfully so) and doesn't offer the Select Plus. Guess I'm SOL. Revo's offering me an extended refund period, and I'm thinking I'll have to take them up on it.

Been in touch with Revo all along. They can loan me one (I'm not about to spend that much more money for this) but they said it would require me to have and know how to use a VAG COM. Nope. The have also offered me a refund past the 30 day trial period. And as of an hour ago, they advised there is another tuner in my area that will be an official Revo dealer in the next 1-2 weeks, and they'll put them in touch with me. We shall see.

Woohoo! George at Revo is kicka$$!. Was available after hours to check my data logs and make adjustments with my tuner. So far fuel econ is good (very slightly below stock) and performance is up to where it should be. I'm now at 9 throttle, 6 timing, 5 fuel.

Drum - great to hear you are happy with your settings. For what it's worth my tech claims 6 for timing is too high a setting on the 3.2 and will actually result in the engine protecting itelf and retarding the timing. He claims the Revo latest recommended settings are 5 on timing and 4 on fuel. Throttle is subjective and I am personally glad you went with 9 as that is what I did and I think that makes a huge difference. Add the miltek and I think you'll get added benefits you can feel.

George at Revo stayed on the line with my tech to get all the data logs, and he said we were actually safe with an initial timing at 7. We brought it down to 6 as a precaution. Maybe the exhaust changes the equation a bit. They both said I should bring it back in for more logging when I get the Milltek installed.
