Was wondering if anyone could help. I have an A3 64 plate (September 2014) 2l diesel. Recently it has started missing a beat occasionally. It is really intermittent, I can drive for an hour with no issue but then seemingly randomly it feels like the engine stops for half a second and then carries on. It happens when cruising or changing gear and normally as just a one off. A couple of times it has happened multiple times when going up hill/accelerating at low revs.

I have taken it to two garages but as it is an intermittent fault and doesn't show up in the diagnostics they haven't been able to fix it. I have put a couple of bottles of DPF cleaner through the tank but that hasn't helped.

If anyone has any thoughts it would be very much appreciated.
