I have the Bluetooth Phone prep in my 2007 S-Tronic. It seems to work pretty well. However, the volume on the phone controls only goes up to "11", which is not very loud.

Do you know if the volume could be further adjusted using VAG-COM?

if you adjust the volume on your phone as well as the car, it goes louder, at least with my phone it does. i have a blackberry 7100i.

 

I've adjusted the volume on my Treo 650, but it's not much help.

When I adjust the volume on the Audi on the steering wheel, it only goes to 11, which is not very loud, especially on the freeway.

 

Audi's bluetooth support for phones is limited. I had problems with my Audiovox SMT-5600 smartphone and found a utility that expanded my phone's bluetooth capability so I now have a fully functioning mobile/bluetooth combo. The software has a 30-day free trial, so there's no loss to try it out. You can find it at http://www.jetwaremobile.com/index.htm. Their version I downloaded helped, but did not cure all of the problems I was having, so they emailed me link to a beta version that fixed my problems. Mine also only goes to 11, but I don't have any complaints with the loudness and normally have it much lower than 11. The low sound level is probably a result of your phone.
