Yeah, I can't imagine how you could miss the rear???

This will be the 5th time I've used this shop and they've always been great in the past. They had the manager and everyone out bending over backwards for me when I pointed it out, but still??? I did go home and carefully walk through each line, each weld, and every part fixed on the front & sides. They did a very good job otherwise and I had the car at 120mph this morning and it was smooth and straight.

I'm just full of mixed emotions ranging from elation to full-on rage that it is making me feel ill this morning.

This sucks!!!

The main manager better call me by 8:01 this morning or he's going to hear me screaming at him at 8:02am.

{Cheers!} - it doesn't even feel right ending my post this way.[&o]

Hi Chef-

Once the vehicle goes back into the shop DO NOT RE-ACCEPT IT until the repairs are completed to your full and complete satisfaction. If you have it, I would pay with American Express in case you need follow-up in the future.

Thanks for the support. This is a full insurance claim so I'm not out any money, and the insurance company warranties the repairs for life, so I won't accept anything but perfect. I just don't want them having my car any longer than necessary.

Sorry, I forgot. The first thing he said to me was, "I bet you just want to kick my a$$ right now!". Well, that about sums it up!

Basically, he already ordered the rear bumper, when it comes in on Monday he is going to paint it, and have everything ready so it's a one day deal that I'm out my car. Everything else did look good, so there you go!

I guess that I get lucky on the free stuff, so it only goes to show that I should be unlucky on other stuff.

Cheers!

Glad to hear you getting your car in top shape soon.

I'm still stuck with my problem, and been going on for the last 2 months. So pissed right now.

True.

My problem is "easily" identified and fixed. Mechanical issues are another story completely. I feel for you.

Chef, glad you are getting your car back, at least half of it, but at least it is the better half!
I tried spotting you in LA, but found no A3 driving around. The rental yunday (I don’t even know how to spell it) gave me plenty of time to spot people… Man this too slow. Anyway, it seems like this hype of A3 being all over the place has being exaggerated... I spotted only one ‘station wagon’ A4. See you maybe on Sunday!
