Clutch pedal adjustment??
I own a 2006 a3 with a 6 speed Trans. I have recently noticed that my pedal needs to be pressed further down than before (most noticeable from 1st to 2nd) to not grind the gear while shifting. I checked the fluid level and it is fine. Is there some sort of adjustment that can be made? I just feel like I have too much travel in the pedal before it engages/disengages the gear. I guess the other option is I'm losing my mind and forgetting how to drive... Any help would be greatly appreciated
I feel you and I think we just have a weak clutch. This is one of the softest clutches I've ever driven. Whenever I drive the A3 after driving my S4 I'm not even sure I'm pressing down a pedal at all. Engagement is also very weak and it takes a little time before the gear actually grabs and the car really moves.
I'm planing on replacing this clutch with a stage 2 very soon as I can't stand this any longer.
BTW: I would always push the clutch in all the way to shift and not just find the "sweet" spot. Over time clutches will deteriorate and the position when the gear engages/disengages will change.

What would be the biggest difference in moving to a stage 2 clutch? Is it still going to be decent to drive daily? I have heard people who say buying a different clutch makes it shift much more violently.
I'm looking at the South Bend Stage 2 clutch. They have great reviews and they have a stage 2 daily driver clutch on which they claim it will feel like the stock clutch but will last a lot longer since it can handle higher torque.
