Besides which, if these professional sites disagree, do you really expect better measurements from us? Suppose, for example, that one of us took the time to go measure cubic feet of cargo space for our A3 and then for a GTI, came back here and reported our results. Would you take those numbers more seriously than the numbers off a professional website?

Measurements. Measurements. Measurements. If numbers are what is needed - I have them. In a practical - real world application. With the rear seats up - in preparation for a function my wife and I were having. I picked up the provisions - and going from memory andone of thereceipts.

In the back of a 2006 A3:
- 3 cases of beer (domestic)
- 1 case of beer (assorted imports)
- 4 bottles of white wine (Californian)
- 2 bottles of red wine (Chilean)
- 2 bottles of reisling (German)
- 1 bottle of Tequila (1 liter - Mexican :-)
- 1 bottle of raspberry vodka (Fin)
- 2 bottles of Margarita mix (?)
- 2 bottles of Cosmo mix (?)
- 1 bottle of Jagermeister (German)
- 2 4-packs of Monster (?)
- Burgers and hotdogs for 20+ people.
- Fixings and etc.
- Chips 'N munchies.
- 3 10lb bags of ice ( USA )

Now. How's that for measurements?
