Can anybody help me? I have an A3 1.8SE and have had a couple of problems with sensors.

First of all, about 6 months ago the drivers side door had a problem which meant that the dashboard indicator said it was open when it wasn't. I could normally open and close the door a few times and it would sort itself out. The main problem with this was that the alarm would not set itself when I was leaving the car if it didn't think the door was closed. That problem seems to have cleared itself up as it has only happend once in the last two months.

The problem I have now is that the tailgate seems to think it is not shut properly. I therefore have a flashing warning on the dash all the time. I can't work out where the sensor is (not a very technical person...), but if I do find it do you know what I can do to fix it?
