Can anyone help please. I have a 55 plate Audi A3 1.9 TDI. A few days ago the alarm went off for no apparent reason and since then, the 'bonnet open' warning light has been on, the front windscreen washer will not work and the front wipers will only work when the car is moving!
The rear wash/wiper is fine!
Any ideas gratefully received!!

 

I have just had exactly the same problem - the solution was very simple - just chop the two wires going into the bottom bonnet catch in the slam panel (you may need to remove the 3 bolts holding the catch in place to get to these) then tape them up so they can't touch each other or the bodwork - all now works!

The bonnet closed sensor is now disabled so make sure you shut the bonnet before driving off anywhere!
