Hood stuck on Audi A3
Hi,
I have an Audi A3 2.0 FSI and the hood is stuck down, the cable is still attached but the catch will not release. We have tried the normal push and pull the bonet wall someone works the cable but this thing is securely stuck down. I've tried to remove the grille but it seems to be attached all the way back into the engine under the bonet so can't get it all the way off. Thre is also a large piece of plastic covering the catch.
Is there another way into the engine to manually release the catch?
Regards,
Ross

I have the same problem. My hood won't open on my 2006 A3. I think one of the cables to the latch let loose or perhaps the latch is seized up... or both. The dealership here doesn't know how to send a fax properly so I was wondering if anyone could link me to the proper schematic online so I can get some part numbers. Thanks.
