My battery was dead when i got home from vacation last night, i pull to pop the hood and nothing happens. no tension on the line.

Read on a few forums that the cable that pulls the hook must be broken.

So i removed my front grill and i can get my hands around the actual latch. i just dont know what im trying to push back there, and which angle.

Anyone have close up pics of there hood latch? Any help would be greatly appreciated. my hands are destroyed from trying to pop this thing.

Love my car but little crap like this drives me nutts.

I had my latch jam on me before. It doesn't help that the latch will bend rather easily before finally letting go. I'm pretty sure I pulled the grille and used a screwdriver as leverage (and being very careful) and finally got the hood popped. There is a little tab that is supposed to slide forward for you to grab when the latch is pulled. I believe if you push down on the hood and wiggle the latch it should give. It took me about an hour to get it loose, keep at it, you'll get it.
