installing after-market music deck
Hey all,
I am currently in the process of buying a used 2006 A3 and found out about the lack of MP3 compatibility. The car does not have a Nav system, only single indash cd player. I was really hoping replace the Audi symphony deck with my current pioneer , which supports almost any kind of music format. I spoke with Crutchfield and said that I would need a custom built kit to hold the new deck in place and splice some of the wires. Has anyone done this with their A3? I don't need the IPod synch. I would much rather play MP3 cd's and if possible add an auxiliary input. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about this?
Thanks,
Tom

RE: installing after-market music deck
Hey there, I'm also a new member and asked a related question recently. I was directed to www.vagparts.com by another member for the dash kit. As far as the wiring, I haven't really looked for a diagram yet, maybe someone else can help you out there. If I find anything I'll let you know.
