It comes to my understanding that the audi a3 2007 doesn't have an mmi port, so I took out my 6 cd changer to see what was back there, I saw this port. Is there anything I can do to make this work??

 

I don't have a picture of it with me but in my 2007 they integrated that iPhone adapter into the glove box compartment. The actual device connected to a wire in the back of the radio/wiring harness. I still have it flying around if you are interested (or take a picture so you can look at it).
I threw it out of the car since I'm against Apple and replaced it with a simple USB cable into the glove box to connect "normal" phones with usb/mini usb for external music.
