From personal experience I'd say you should get it in September. I ordered my '08 2.0T in June of '07 and it got here during the last week of Sep '07, and it was the 2nd batch of A3's that came into the dealership. So by my estimation the next model year starts coming in the beginning of September. FWIW they did change the A3 up a bit for '09, and usually when the model changes they come in even earlier.

 

schkata, I feel your pain! I ordered mine on Jan. 6 of this year and just picked it up on May 29. It was a factory order because according to the dealer, there were no cars that matched my criteria anywhere in the country. Like you, I had to call the dealer each of the 3 times to get an ETA/update on the status.

I've heard that with some manufacturers (BMW?) even go so far as providing factory-order customers with a website that they can visit any time they like that provides near real-time status updates on their vehicle. Maybe if enough buyers ask Audi for it, they might respond...

Just remember patience is a virtue. It was worth the wait for me.
