I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem before. There is a squeeke coming from the window surround of my 04 A3. There doesnt seem to be anything visibly loose and the problem goes away when the window is opened slightly.The garage said initially that it may be because the seals on the window were dry but this were lubricated and have made no difference.
Does anyone know what can be done?

 

mine was doing that the other day. there was a faint rattlesqueak thing happening at lower speeds. it drove me crazy looking for it, but it went away....

This has been an issue on A3s regardless of model yer and country...search this and other Audi forums for Gummi Pfledge or Wurth Rubber Sealant (two products that fix this) and you'll find some remedies. I smeared Wurth all over every piece of rubber in the window AND door frames and it went away. Slowly creeping back though, so I'll do it again soon.
