Default Oil leak

Hi I have a 1.9tdi a3 with a slight oil leak from intercooler. Iv checked the turbo seems fine. I've come to the conclusion of the ccv. Is there anything else I should look for. Also it has used about one line of dots on the dipstick in about 1k miles is that ok.
Is there any thing I can do to stop it.
Cheers Dan

You could have a turbo going bad. Might not be a bad idea to pull the intake hose off the turbo & take a look.Very common on the TDI's.

Iv pulled of the pipes and checked it. Tge shaft only has very minimal play and there is only a light film of oil inside.
The ccv has oil leaking out the joint that's why I thought maybe that.
It's a pd engine if that makes any difference.
Cheers for the reply

Not sure what you mean by a pd engine. What 3 letter designation is the engine like ALH?
You mentioned TDI , IT is a diesel right?

Not sure of the mileage & wear of your engine but it could have a little excessive blow by the rings. Audi says that 1 quart in 1000 miles is acceptable (pretty sad because that for new cars also).
Also i was thinking. The intercooler should not leak , it is a sealed item. I would see if there are seals to replace so it does not leak externally. Most of the time you do not realize there is anything in the intercooler unless you disconnect the piping or remove them & then see the oily ooze come out.
Just something else to chew on for a bit.
