Default Opening Petrol Flap Manualy ?????

Hi all

Today my A3 Central Locking decided to stop working.
I am running on Vapours and just pulled up to a garage to fill up and....

I Cant Open My Petrol Flap

Please does anyone know how i can manualy unlock the Petrol Flap????

Not sure on the A3, but on the S4 you can open manually by going in through the trunk...there is a small door/opening near the top back of the wheel well that you can get access to the fuel fill door from. Don't have access to my manual now but check it out

Thanks dude

Managed to get it open by manipulating the bolt. Then wife found a little red Pull lever in the boot that is the Manual Petrol Flap release.

Managed to get to garage without running out of fuel.
And it going in tomorrow to get sorted out, Hopefully b covered by warranty

Are you in England?

Anyway, glad you got it open before running out of petrol...hopefully all is under warranty...
How do you like the A3?

If you look in the compartment by the wheel arch in the rear of car there is a tab you pull to manually release it.
