Default PO322 & PO335 Fault Indication

Hey,

Had the engine management and ESP warning lamps on for around two weeks. Not noticed any problems, until yesterday. Car stalls when stopped and can take some time to re-start. Called out the AA who diagnosed the following fault codes; PO322 and PO335.

This was determined to be the crank sensor, which he removed and cleaned but advised I have checked by the dealer at the next ooportunity. Unfortunately, I am unable to get the car in for another week and need to drive some 200 miles before then.

a. Is the car safe to drive (ie, not going to cause any damage to the engine)?
b. How much is this likely to cost?

Thanks for your time, M

a:/ if the crank senor was bad it wouldn't start P0322 and P0335 would be a result of both items, possibly the crank/cam sensor is looss

Hey again,
Thanks for the advice thus far. Had the car into the dealer yeaterday and they said the same as the AA (that the car needs a new crank sensor) and have sadi that this will cost around £50 for the part and half an hours labour.
