Anyone know what the rev limiter is set to on the A3 2.0T? I've reved it to nealy 7000 a couple times and never hit it. I'm curious how high it will go, but worried when it goes that far into the red before limiting...

 

its embedded in the ECU and can be over ridden with VAG depending on the upgrade and its called ECU flash

 

I have the APR stage 1 upgrade, does this flash eliminate the limiter?(scary thought!)

 

No, it bumps the rev limiter a little higher.

I never hit the rev limited *cough* DSG.

 

any idea how much higher?

 

I think it is 7k rpms on the REVO. I only bumped it once by accident. The car gets there really quick nowadays.
