I just replaced my plugs (oem ngk's) with bosch +2 platinums in hopes of curing random misfiring. i replaced 3 on the left side, started the car to see if all was going well, and i got a "service insp" light on the dash. while researching this i found that this usually comes up on its own at a certain interval. what could i have done to trigger this light? and i did finish the 3 on the right side too. drives fine.

 

time for an oil change maybe

 

changed the oil 3 days ago. light came on specifically after i changed the plugs... or maybe coincidence?

 

Unplug everything, clean it all off and plug it back in... Try it out...

Its just coincidence. If it was the cel then you might have a problem.

 

Most definatly coincidance. All that means is that you have hit a predetermine milage/time for a service. If you just did an oil change reset the light.
