07 A4 3.0 tdi cabriolet engine shut down and won't start (Low oil pressure warning)
Hi while driving my 2007 A4 3.0 TDI cabriolet yesterday it cut out and would not start .
I was doing around 40-50 mph speed in acceleration (maybe higher)
i noticed a sudden drop in power and the glow plug sign came up on the dash,
then the car cut out or shut down followed by the battery symbol and a message in red (low oil pressure)...all this happened in a matter of seconds .
I managed to get it over in the slow lane and tried to restart the car and it would not turn over .
There has been no previous warnings or signs appear on the dash board other than a service required in 700 miles.
Can anyone advise me to what could have caused this and how to solve it please.
And is this a common fault
