Default 1.8T Oil Consumption Help

Hey everyone,

I just would like to know if all of you with the 2001 1.8T have to add oil before an oil change.

I don't see any leak of oil but I do have to add oil at times before the next cycle of change.

I'm just wondering if this is normal knowing that synthtic oil burns faster.

Thanks and I appreciate all of the inputs.

Use a synthetic oil with 40 weight in it.
0W-40
5W-40 or
10W-40.

Change your PCV or puck valve and perform a seafoam treatment if you can't find any oil leaks.
