it was 107 degrees outside today and as i have been driving for about an hour on 295 (main highway) when took the exit and then stop on a redlight then my car felt funny. from 0-60 as sluggish it started to move because of the heat, it would shift like in to second gear the car would jerk. same with third and i kind of did not feel it on fourth gear when it was switching to fifth gear. my car is tiptronic, do you think its the torq converter or its from the tranny. it is the hottest it has been this summer but the car was back to normal after cooling off.

Your description of the symptoms is pretty poor. If you could elaborate on "then my car felt funny" maybe youll get better help. But, its been a day, so is it still doing it? Still 107 degrees?

 

i saw 115 here about 2 weeks ago, 130 with the heat index, and to make it better we have 100% humidity like year round

107 in the desert is different from the 90s in South and east coast. Humidity is the killer.

I'll stick with Ventura, CA beach area. My black/black A4 is much happier.

 

im thinking of tipchip maybe that could solve the problem bc it seems that the car is taking too long to change the gears.
