Hey just bought an 04 audi a4 quattro about a month ago, I was driving home with it and the motor blew due to oil sludge, so its at the dealer getting a new motor put in it STILL but I dont have to pay for it, so im making out. However..

It doesnt have HID`s and I would like to put some in it. How much $$$ and how long would it take/ how hard is itto do this?

I also need another keyless entry Key and Keyfob. How much is that going to cost me?

VisionBulbs has the HID kits for audiforums members for $200 I believe which is a nice price... as far as to how hard it is, it isn't anything extremely difficult from what I've heard....

For the key, its gonna be expensive .. I dont know an exact price but when I went to Audi and asked for a secondary copy of the key alone, it was llike 75.00 if i remember correctly

 

Hid's r usually plug in etc.. the key fobs i got on ebay for $40 each and itcost 125 to program at the dealer

 

You could always program it yourself.

 

you can program the key fob to open you doors yourself. but for the immobilizer unless you have the code from the dealer and have or know someone w/ a vag to do it you cant.

 

I was reading some things and it seemed you have to drill into the headlight, thats not exactly my cup of tea... lol
