I got one of those "fight speeding ticket" people and I payed 400 bucks (ticket was worth 500 so it didnt matter) and He won everything for me and I stay on a clean record.
I dont know how it is in US but in Canada, judicial system is backed up and it takes atleast 4 months for **** like this to go to court so usually the cop doesnt show up.

get a lawyer!! i had 9 over, 1st ticket in 4.9 years(since 16), judge told me "better pay or its gonna be worse". dont hope ur judge may be nicer! even few points metter when u get 5 tickets, fight every ticket like ur license depend on that. And call 1-877-474-2190 they sell anti-radars, scremblers, and other cool ANTI-POLICE stuff
