2002 1.8T A4 Questions...
Hi, my first post since i haven't quite joined the 'fam' yet... but i'm currently looking at a couple 2002 1.8T's (quattro, sport package) and had some questions for anyone who can help.
- are there any specific parts that should have been replaced (or are likely to be needing replacement) at around 60K miles?
- anything in particular that i should ask the mechanic to check out before i buy?
- one owner says he just had the 60k dealer service. what exactly does this entail, and if they didn't find any problems during this, is this the same as a mechanic checkup?
- how much do you love your A4?!?! =)
Any advice you can give me is greatly appreciated, Thanks

during the service its all lookin around checkin for problems, the only hting that is replaced really is the oil and the filter
Theoretically yes if the car went to the service and it came out ok there are no problems but u never kno
and i to have 2002 Audi A4 1.8T and i love it

The official 60K service doesnt include the timing belt, I dont think... although it SHOULD be changed at 60K, audi say's its good for 90K or something like that. If the timing belt/waterpump wasnt changed... then THAT is your biggest concern, its about a grand to get it done, and they have a tendency to go after 60K, and demo your top end. Mmm, the sound of a 20V cylinder head grenading... must be scary.
