First of all, issues with maintenance/reliability in these cars are GREATLY exaggerated, I think because they require a little bit more attentive owner, and because the basic routine maintenance is rather expensive. (Your timing belt job will rip you a new *******, if you aren't sitting comforatbly on 1000$). People buy them, and sell them before the expensive maintenance intervals...Also, in the 90's Audi did not have the best reliability or reputation.
