Is 40% tint worth getting?
pigs is kind of out dated isnt it? What are you 12? And 5 percent on the back window is NOT legal is almost EVERY state. You are thinking of factory suvs and vans, family vehicles expected to have children in the back who would be bothered by sunlight.
I haven't tinted my new A4, but had stock tint on my Chevy Tahoe, added 35 all around. Front windows are 35%, back end up between 20 and 35. Tough to see out the back at night....

hahaha you might as well put garbage bags on your windows...hahaha 3$ tints and i promise no one will be able to see you inside...i have 15% and they look sick... got pulled over once but the cops were just fishing and didn't give me a ticket but that was their excuse... its a little hard to back up at night but thats why the windows open and you have a neck to move your head out of the window to look back...overall i love them and go dark because 35% is wack
I myslef am torn between 35% and 20% on my ming blue A4. On my old Jeep I had the fronts at 35% and could not pass inspection (this is in MA), so I tore them off, got my sticker then went back and got 20%, which matched the factory rear windows. I loved the 20%, perfect mix, kept the interior nice and dark, but could still see out at night. I think 20% would look perfect on my dark colored Audi, but im not sure yet. I never got bothered with my Jeep either, even got pulled over a few times with then on and the cop didnt say a thing. Here are two pics, first on is 35% on the fronts, second one is 20%...

I'm probably going to end up going with 35%. I think that it will look good and not attract too much attention. I don't really want tints for privacy, I want them to make the car look better and save me from getting a driver's tan. If a cop wants to give me a ticket for it, I'm sure it will be so close to being 35% that he/she would have to be a real ******* to do so.
Do you have annual inspections in your state?
We do here in Utah, and they measure the tint of the window (with some handheld device). So you can't go less than 35% or you won't pass.
