I am looking to buy a 97-99 a4 and i want to know how reliable they are. For one overall, but also when they get into the higher miles E.G. 120,000. Would it matter if i bought one with 80k vs 120 k. Or are they all really the same. I want one, but not if they will cost me money because this is my first car and I am already spending every penny I have earned from day one on this car.

 

an audi's probably not what you want bud....you're going to be spending money no matter what mileage your car has...audi repair bills aren't cheap....

depends on how you drive and how the car has been driven but at 120,000 miles a $1500 tune up needs to ne dopne

 

sure but will it just blow up in my face or are all the repairs ones that can be avoided by taking care of the car. And even if you take care of it how often do you need to repair it.

 

Dude I got 90000 miles on my a4 and i've had some problems just did a tune up it was not cheap and i get parts at 5% above audi wholesale. Right now i have half the car apart in my garage replacing the cat and putting in a high flow cat. I absolutely love my car the car handles grat and drives even better. But always keep money aside in case something goes wrong.
