A4 Bose Stereo Problems w/ Window Tinting
Help,

Audi replaced my rear shelf diversity module on my 3.0 Quattro 6 speed, but the AM reception still sucks. 610 and 1210AM are very strong in the Philly area, yet I barely receive them on a consistent basis as compared to the strong reception I get in rental cars. I have a slight aftermarket window tint all around, but the antenna isinstalled insideof the film on the rear window, not outside if that makes any sense.

Q: Has anyone replaced their Bose stereo with an aftermarket Bose speaker capable unit that has satellite radio built in and keeps the steering wheel controls, CD Changer, and ONSTAR audio feedthroughin dash? Satellite radio seems to be the trend, but I don't want to lose my controls I paid big dollars for.

Thanks in advance...

Yeah I don't think you will have any luck trying to go aftermarket and retaining your features. Did you use matallic tint or something?? That typically degrades AM quality.
