A4 ELECTIC WINDOWN PROBLEM
IVE GOT AN AUDI A4 AND MY ELECTRIC WINDOW ON MY DRIVERS SIDE MADE A RATHER LOUND NOISE AND THEN THE GLASS DROPPED DOWN. I OPENED UP THE WINDOW TO FIND A "GREEN" PLASTIC CLIP HAS SHATTERED INTO A MILLION PIECES SO IVE HAD TO PROP UP MY WINDOW WITH A STICK!! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE REGULATOR AS ITS STILL DRIVING BUT I CANT GET HOLD OF THIS SILLY LITTLE CLIP ANYWHERE!! PLEASE HELP!!! Looks like the window clips broke on your car. VW has a recall for Jettas/New Beetles regarding this very same issue. Definitely check with a local VW dealership to see if they can fix it. What they will do, is replace your shattered plastic clips with metal ones. Call VW/Audi USA, and see if your car is covered. AFAIK, the recall is only for VW's (Jetta/New Beetle), and not for the A4. I'm sure if enough people complain to Audi USA about this issue, if it happenned to them also, then Audi might issue a recall for the cars affected.
